Sources, dates and coverage
A static publication assembled from agency evidence. All operating readings are provisional unless the source explicitly establishes finality. Latest reservoir and snow observations reach Oct12–13,2026; annual Lower Colorado use is CY2025, published May15,2026. Water Year2026 is Oct1,2025–Sep30,2026.
Coverage at a glance
- Sixteen reservoirs: latest storage, daily histories and exact month-end storage; reference capacities have source-specific conventions.
- Nine selected snow stations: seven SNOTEL and two CDEC; latest dated SWE and observed WY2026 peaks. Source-published NRCS seasonal peak medians retain the1991–2020 reference period and sample count.
- Arizona, California and Nevada mainstream accounting; IID, MWD, CAWCD and Big Bend user context. Annual recipient scopes are not added together.
- Delta, Banks and Jones; Mexico, Morelos and Colorado delta; six Lower Basin tribal entries, six qualified Census reservation polygons.
- Twenty-one DWR critically overdrafted basin/subbasin polygons, boundary source Dec9,2022.
Known coverage gaps
LVVWD’s operator service-area API requires authentication. The openly licensed EPA inventory-buffer footprint remains plainly approximate. Delta channel routing and Oroville outlet joins are labeled breaks. CAP/Corning/SWP engineering-reference gaps remain. CDEC station medians are not acquired. Tribal accounting and infrastructure access are not complete. Current use is not inferred from rights, snow or reservoir changes. Monthly view has month-end storage/SWE only, not annual use split into months.
The newest-source check for this publication is Oct13,2026. Some stable source vintages are older. Annual SWP/CVP allocation supersession and every post-2026 implementing agreement remain unverified. Production-host, real-device, sustained memory and newcomer testing are separate release gates.

M6 review additions · Oct 14, 2026 acquisition
All 16 reservoir reference outlines use USGS NHD high-resolution waterbodies. Matching GNIS identifiers collect all pieces and reject namesakes. Source feature dates vary; these are not current shorelines. Source NHD river segments join the Gunnison/Colorado, Green/Colorado, Feather/Sacramento, Stanislaus/San Joaquin, Tuolumne/San Joaquin and American/Sacramento. The San Juan and Colorado enter separate arms of Powell; their submerged junction is represented by the reservoir, not an invented river line.
Urban footprints and 2020 populations use corrected Census 2020 urban areas and Census 2020 incorporated places / CDPs (layer28). Utility service areas and urban areas remain different concepts.
Alfalfa: 2023 NASS IWMS, Table39 printed p153/PDF161; Crop Values 2024 Summary, February2025 p32; Crop Production 2024 Summary, January2025 p35. Dry-hay value and acres are paired with the broader alfalfa/mixtures water category including greenchop and silage; the mismatch is labeled.
New supply cards cite Henderson Water Source, North Las Vegas Water Resources/Quality and Flagstaff Drinking Water/Water Development History. The SNWA 2026 plan, pp32–33 reports water-bank balances through2024: approximately342,000 acre-ft locally and614,000 in Arizona, plus330,225 in California. These are banked supplies, not an annual supply percentage.
The complete USGS five-foot Powell ZIP remains blocked. Exact file: LakePowell_Elevations.gdb.zip (686,518,631 advertised bytes). The public operational-tier services do not expose the intervening five-foot shapes. This review still uses three real lower contours, never interpolation.
